Thailand Itinerary

COST:  $10,500 (USD).  This is all inclusive (including airfare from LAX).  All Inclusive consists of all lodging, food, drink (non alcoholic), in country transportation, excursions,  and adventure.  It does not include visas.

DAY 1:
Travel to Bangkok

Plan on 25-30 hours of air travel

DAY 2:

in Bangkok International Airport and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is free.

DAY 3:

Visit Bangkok's most famous landmarks:

  • Grand Palace
  • Wat Phra Kaew temple with the Emerald Buddha
  • National Buddha statue. Several of Thailand's most significant religious ceremonies are performed here by the King.

In the evening, we will ride a dinner boat along the Chao Pra Ya river, taking in the quintessential Bangkok view.

DAY 4:

Depart to Bang Pa In, the King's beautiful summer palace and then visit Ayutthaya, the former Thai capital, which was destroyed in 1767 by the Burmese. Explore these historical and important ruins.

DAY 5:

Travel to Kanchanaburi Province where the ‘Bridge on the River Kwai' as was immortalised in the movie of the same name.  Participants will have a chance to take pictures before boarding a train for a 2 hour journey that crosses the bridge and slowly rattles its way towards Nam Tok over the famous Wampo Viaduct.

Following our visit here, we take traditional long tail boats and journey along the River Kwai to our hotel that actually floats on the water. The Jungle Rafts are one of the most popular hotels in
the Kingdom of Thailand. Not for their luxury, but for their simplicity and the sense of being
somewhere special and close to nature. There is no power in the rooms, so make sure your
phones, cameras and ipads are all fully charged before you leave Bangkok. Light is provided by
oil lamps, and the river itself acts as a natural air conditioner. For all of its simplicity, this is
truly a wonderful experience that will not soon be forgotten.


DAY 6:

Catch a flight from the Kanchanaburi airport to Northern Thailand's Chaing Mai.  The day is filled with optional activities that you can enjoy while in the city:

  • Cooking classes  
  • Thai massage
  • Hiking
  • Shopping


DAY 7:

An hour long drive to the lush Mae Tang Area where you will meet your
elephants and ride them through the forest and along the river valley.  After exploring the jungle we will drive further to the starting point of a 2 hour long trek to see a cascading waterfall where you can take a refreshing dip in the cool waters and eat lunch.  

After lunch we trek back to the river for a safety briefing in preparation for the whitewater rafting trip on the Mae Tang River.  After an exciting ride through the rapids we switch to bamboo rafts to complete the river journey and drive to an orchid and butterfy farm and optional tour to a Karen Long Neck Hill Tribes village.


DAY 8

Travel to Inthanon National Park to visit the beautiful waterfall and forest trek.  A visit with locals and sample local coffee while learning about their culture. We will then visit the Twin Pagoda which is important to people here.


DAY 9:

Work with a local students to:


  • Learn their culture
  • Learn their lifestyle
  • Learn how to cook traditional Thai food
A banquet style meal with the students follows the cooking class to further interact and learn of their culture.  In the evening you will experience a traditional performance and dinner from the northern villagers.


DAY 10:

Travel to the river and learn how to kayak from an expert .  We will sleep in the middle of
the river on an island.


DAY 11:

Travel to Maekhajan hot springs, a good spot to take a morning cup of coffee before
heading up towards the stunning Wat Rong Khun often named The White Temple due to its
dazzling white color which is inlaid with mirrored glass.   You then head to Chiang Rai airport to catch our plane to Phuket.

DAY 12:

Phuket sightseeing tour including Rang hill for a spectacular view point.  You then visit the Century-old Sino-Portuguese buildings at Thalang road and the Wat Thalang Lapidary Gem Factory for shopping.  Then a visit to the Batik Shop and visit the famous sunset viewpoint at Phromthep Cape one of the most beautiful panoramas on the island


DAY 13:

Heading to Krabi visiting Emerald pool, a Jungle trip, and hotspring.

DAY 14:

Further exploration of Phuket including:

  • Swimming and snorkeling with clear water and colorful fishes at " Loh Samah Bay"
  • Sightseeing at "Pileh Cove lagoon" and "Viking Cave"
  • Monkey Beach
  • Phi Phi Don island where we will have lunch buffet style at "Phi Phi Don" Restaurant

After we depart for " Khai Island".

DAY 15:

Learn to rock climb and visit a local market where we will buy food for a BBQ cookout by the pool that evening.

DAY 16:

Going back to Bangkok. Free day for shopping and relaxing at spa

DAY 17-28:

Work in a rescue facility for animals which includes:

  • Elephants
  • Tigers
  • Gibbons
  • Alligators
  • Exotic Birds
  • Sun Bears
  • Other various animals

Duties will include feeding, cleaning, transporting, construction of playing structures, and many other duties.

DAY 29:

Depart for the USA
